Which indoor sound insulation material is good? Different sound insulation materials have different advantages and disadvantages.

Soundproofing felt

Soundproofing felt is mainly made of elastic materials such as rubber and plastic, and is a flexible high-density roll material. It introduces foreign technology and is made of various organic minerals in proportion, with good wideband sound insulation and damping performance, making it a new type of sound insulation material. It can significantly reduce noise, and has excellent insulation effects against air and impact sounds. Its insulation effect against mid to low frequency noise is unmatched by other materials, and it has a wide range of applications. It is often paired with gypsum board for sound insulation of walls and ceilings, as well as for sound insulation and vibration reduction of pipelines and mechanical equipment. Simply put, as long as sound insulation is done, it can come in handy, and the sound insulation effect is undeniable.

Sponge

Sponge has good sound absorption performance, and it is commonly used for sound insulation in recording studios. Sponge with sound-absorbing grooves on the surface, also known as wave cotton, has better sound-absorbing effect. However, sponges absorb water and are easy to vacuum. If used for window soundproofing, they can easily absorb water on rainy days or when wiped with a damp cloth, causing the iron frame to rust. But now many windows can't catch the rain, which is quite practical. You can consider it when choosing.

Polyurethane foam

Polyurethane foam is the main component of foam adhesive. After curing, it has good sound insulation, sound absorption effect, anti-corrosion, waterproof, and good flame retardant design. It is a good sound insulation material.

Rubber soundproof and sound-absorbing cotton

Rubber soundproof and sound-absorbing cotton is made of industrial rubber as the carrier, with various soundproof particles added, nitrogen foam formed, and gray black color. There are micro sound-absorbing holes and special-shaped sound-absorbing grooves on the front, which can efficiently filter different frequencies of noise, integrate sound insulation and absorption functions, lightweight and environmentally friendly, with high cost-effectiveness.

Insulating glass

It is composed of two or more layers of flat glass, with high-strength adhesive around the glass and aluminum alloy frame or rubber strip, leaving space in the middle to fill with inert gas, and good insulation and sound insulation. Due to the poor heat transfer between the air or gas in the glass, the sound insulation effect is superior.
